Free June Holiday Programmes at Bukit Panjang Public Library
The National Library Board (NLB) at Bukit Panjang Plaza is offering a range of free activities for children this June school holiday. From immersive animation screenings to storytelling sessions in multiple languages, there is something for young learners of all ages at the Bukit Panjang Public Library on Level 4.
Fantastical Tales: Immersive Animation Screening
Fantastical Tales is an immersive animation screening featuring folktales and fables accompanied by sound and light effects. The sessions take place on 7, 20, 21, 27 and 28 June 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, at the Stories Come Alive Room on Level 4 of Bukit Panjang Public Library. This is a walk-in programme and registration is not required. Please note that the sound and light effects may trigger seizures in photosensitive individuals and the programme is not suitable for patrons with photosensitive epilepsy.
Tamil Storytelling: Kathaipom Kalippom
Tamil Storytelling: Kathaipom Kalippom is a storytelling session conducted in Tamil for children and parents. The session is scheduled for Monday, 15 June 2026, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Stories Come Alive Room on Level 4. The programme is suitable for children aged 4 to 12 and parents of preschoolers.
Shadow Puppet Storytelling: The Rainbow Colored Flower
Shadow Puppet Storytelling: The Rainbow Colored Flower is a Chinese-language storytelling session that includes a free hands-on craft activity. It takes place on Saturday, 27 June 2026, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Programme Zone on Level 4 of Bukit Panjang Public Library. The programme is suitable for children aged 3 to 6 and their parents. Registration via NLB is required, with one ticket per person. Each ticket admits one participant only and does not cover a parent-child pair.
