my experience at library is peacful. yes, its quiet and a clean environment. But, i feel like there are not many seating places to study. i suggest that they can add more seatings and as a very introverted person, i find it hard to sit with others at a one circle table. so maybe to make other introverts like me feel less anxious by making one seating with walls around. :)

The adults section doesn't have enough seats and was always fully occupied. There is only 3 charging sockets in the whole library, I noticed there are other sockets but they locked it for some reason.

My experience at the library is peaceful. Yes, it's a quiet and clean environment. But I feel there isn't enough seating for studying. I suggest they add more seating. And, as a very introverted person, I find it hard to sit with others at a shared circular table. So, perhaps to make other introverts like me feel less anxious, they could consider adding individual seating with partitions.

Love the cleanliness and very cosy and quiet environment for stressful minds to calm themselves. They have good series of books very easy to read. Especially on menopause, Singapore history and latest books from UK Drs regarding illness and issues. Their chinese books are good to read, a variety. I was reading 1 chinese AunKle Angonie book. It was really veery funny.
The author is so direct and the words are not too cheem. I tot i was reading some teenage mags but in olden chinese language.

A lovely place to browse and read quietly. The ease of the NLB app to reserve and collect books here at the locker make this one of my favourite places. Also another unique thing is that the Children's library is separated, and it on the other side of the mall

It’s small but very well maintained; bright and clean, with books of 4 main languages in Singapore. The staff are friendly and helpful in this library.

I am a cynical person by nature. I am deeply impressed by staff good customer service when approached for help. They are so kind, empathetic, caring and helpful to do their best to assist. I am truly touch by their kampong spirit to render assistance whenever needed and I am truly bless to be a patron of Bt Panjang Public Library. I wld like to give credit to the young Malay plum lady dressed in blue uniform with tudung on last Sunday going all out to assist me to connect my laptop to the wirelessSGx in the late afternoon. Another Malay lady also dressed in blue uniform with a tudung and an Indian lady in spectacles with a pig tail on 4 Mar at about 130pm to 2pm to help me reserve a seat at the library as there is something wrong with the NLB App to reserve seat via my mobile phone. I hope NLB would take note of such dedicated staff for their good customer service. NLB is truly blessed to have such staff.

Love the renovation and design. Comparing to others libraries I went around the island. Love how the library is separated into 2 part. Children and adults. So the adults can have a quieter area as kid library is on the other end.
The kids library is nice design for kids. Simply love it. And so do my kids. Thank you National Library!

What I like in libraries: Books that are available that I originally have on my online To-Be-Read (TBR). Spacious environments. Multiple book genres.
I have never seen a library like Bukit Panjang. It’s in a mall, and once you go to the highest level of the mall, you’ll notice there are 2 Bukit Panjang Libraries, when in reality they only have one, just the kind of spread it out a bit. On one side of the level, there’s a children’s section. On the other side, there’s an adults & teens zone.
The children’s zone is very spacious. The design of the children’s zone is very different and kind of unique. In the middle of the room, there’s these bookshelves on this circle thing, and you can walk up there, and there are a few shelves there too. They also have these like walls that are kind of separated, they form a circle, and you can sit in between the walls.
In the adult & teens zone, one of the first things I noticed was the shelves for the magazines. They were almost like a zig-zag in a sense. When you first walk in, you can see this swirly thing where they have a few books on display.
When you look up, you can notice the design close to the ceiling, and I think it’s really cool. Like the children’s zone, they also have separated walls that form a bit of a circle, and you can sit there, and work on your computers, study, and read. They also have audiovisuals, and a section with tables and computers.
There’s also this circle thing, once you’ve walked in a bit farther and turned to the right. It’s filled with bookshelves, tables, seats, and people. I noticed everyone that was sitting there was studying on their computers. Which makes me think the Bukit Panjang Library is a really nice place to study at. But I think it would be a bit harder to get a seat if you don’t come early.
Overall, I personally really like this library because I think you can do diverse things there like, reading, listening to an audiobook, working on your computers, studying, and more.

Bukit panjang library is indeed quite small
But they separate the children section and the adult session
Very easy to find books

While relatively small compared to other neighbourhood libraries, the Bukit Panjang Library is well-stocked and comprehensive in books available, is cosy with very nice ambience

After this library was revonated the books that was added was quite a lot and I like how they separate the children and adults sections for the peace with the adults and the usual fun noise children make this library is also very spacious with quite a lot of cubicles to sit on

Library is actually segregated in 2 different locations (aka Children and Adults sections) on the same level and their enterance face each other
The entire layout looks simplistic, open space and feels very conducive for reading and revising homework.

Modern design. Small but cozy. Not enough spaces for study zone.

Many more seating areas compared to before renovation. There's even mobile charging points where you can sit on a chair and plug in your USB cable/wall charger.
This isn't your typical traditional library, and the new designs has certainly incorporated the needs of the current generations.

Love the renovation and design. Compared to other libraries I've visited across the island, I love how this library is separated into two parts – one for children and one for adults. This allows adults to have a quieter area, as the children's library is on the other end.

After this library was renovated, a lot of books were added. I also like how they separate the children's and adults' sections to provide peace for adults, given the usual fun noise children make. This library is also very spacious, with quite a lot of cubicles for sitting.
