I love their fish! Fresh and very affordable. I normally cook Hong Kong Style steamed fish, or use sliced fish for fish soup or porridge. No fishy taste, but sweet and a nice texture! Love it! My kids love their fish.

This place is stocked with frozen seafood, but if you have a small budget, look no further. Lobsters from 20 to 40 bucks. Come in and check the price, as it changes sometimes.

Extremely rude and arrogant staff in the whole shop on August 4, 2024 (Sunday).
Not sure if that's the reason why the shop has hardly any customers.
Will not patronise the shop anymore with such an attitude.

I had my first really bad experience at Song Fish BPP today at 11:40 AM. A short-haired staff member insulted me, saying my eyesight was poor and I couldn't even tell "9" from "8" when I was checking the fillet. Then, when I was browsing the fish head section, she babbled that if it was too expensive for you, you could buy the cheaper ones at the other end. Nobody asked for her opinion. The cashier was grouchy too.
Please train your staff. The previous crew was not as rude. They were not fabulous, but last time they were still OK.

I've been to many Song Fish outlets, and this outlet is the worst. There is this Cantonese-speaking, short, curly-haired auntie who is not only rude but also treated me as though I can't afford to buy the expensive salmon. This isn't the first time I've experienced this treatment, and I'll never come to this outlet again. Horrible sales assistant with terrible customer service!

Overheard staff saying racist remarks about customers and locals. Two Chinese ladies were working there Monday, Oct 14th, between 3:45 PM and 4:15 PM.
Seafood products are good, but please change your staff members. The comments were simply distasteful, as the staff clearly thought others wouldn't hear or understand them.

Got my salmon today – a super big, entire 1kg slab for baking.

I've been a regular at Song Fish for many other items, such as their otah buns, etc. Those were great alternatives for a quick, no-fuss meal.
This is a mixed review, and I have to give it one star particularly for the Tuna Steak, which I bought twice. Both times, it had an awful fishy aftertaste and smell.
I thought it was me not preparing it well the first time. So, for the second pack I bought, I washed it thoroughly with salt and vinegar, even adding a squeeze of lemon juice. Yet, after pan-searing, that fishy aftertaste was still very strong. The quality was very low. I had to throw the rest away as I do not know if the smell was due to a lack of freshness or simply low-quality fish.
