Decided to takeaway curry pork rice from Hills Street Hainanese Curry Rice—pretty average stuff. But if you enjoy standing around for 4 minutes while the cashier (possibly the manager, judging by her VIP uniform) lovingly wipes down the cash register, then disappears to fetch a wired mouse—yes, in 2025—just to plug it into the cash register during peak hours, all without so much as a “sorry,” then this stall is your paradise.

Good place for local food. Scissors Cut Curry Rice, no need to go till Jalan Besar.

Many famous food stalls are now conveniently located for the community. Highly recommend the Pork Noodle and Yong Tau Foo. Pork Noodle comes with dried salted fish. If you order their signature, it's like getting two dishes: the noodle, and a separate bowl of ingredients with soup. Very filling and worth the price. Something special that cannot be typically found elsewhere in Singapore. Yong Tau Foo is also packed with nice ingredients. Not too little and not too much. Not too salty and not too bland. It strikes the perfect balance of taste for a Yong Tau Foo. Another good thing is that their noodles are well-cooked and overall balance out the whole dish. Mee Hoon Kuey is not particularly special but still acceptable as a standard Mee Hoon Kuey. Noodles are not too hard and the egg soup is nice. A great addition to this Kopitiam. There is also a scissor-cut curry rice stall that is quite famous. However, I find it not as good as the original one at Hill Street Hainanese Curry Rice. It feels more like an economic rice that's overpriced due to the 'banjir' curry sauce. Better come early during peak hours, as it is now well-known in the neighborhood and always packed with people. There is also a hand-washing station where you can wash your hands before and after your meals. A great addition to Bukit Panjang Plaza.

I was shocked by the price for one kopi o kosong. Such a small cup cost me SGD1.80! The most expensive kopi in Bukit Panjang. I will not be buying their drinks anymore.

At Bukit Panjang Plaza, there are 4 dedicated halal stalls. Wish there were more stalls selling Indonesian/Malay food and Indian Muslim varieties. Overall, it is quite adequate at present. Had a pleasant time dining here. The place is big with sufficient seating.

I was given free coffee and teh after my mum's rehabilitation session when I arrived for breakfast (limited cups per day). I heard that the Tai Wai noodles stall is famous. I'm not sure if it's a franchise or an original outlet, but quite a few people were queuing for it even at 10 AM. I had the Hainanese curry rice. It wasn't bad, but it was a bit heavy for breakfast, so I didn't manage to finish it.

Exploring @HawkerStreetsg at Bukit Panjang Plaza! First up, Pang’s signature Hakka yong tau foo soup. Assorted YTF items stuffed with minced pork and fish paste fillings, seasoned with sole fish powder and chunks of radish, cooked till tender but not falling apart. The soup was light yet so addictive—can’t stop slurping! 😋 Next, we indulged in Flourful Delight’s Xiao Long Bao. Those thin, delicate wrappers hold a burst of rich, savory broth and fillings—pure joy in every bite! As for Roast Paradise, we had a mixed experience. The char siew and roast pork were a bit of a letdown this time, as the char siew was rather dry and tough. We’re hoping it was a one-off! But the roast pork did redeem itself with crispy skin, tender meat, and a nice layer of fat.

Here's the lightly edited review: A new makan place, packed with specially selected stalls from various parts of Singapore. We had curry chicken and pork chop rice from Hill Street Hainanese Curry Rice, and it was amazing. The curry sauce is thick and delicious, especially when combined with the dark sauce. Our comfort food! We will definitely come back for more. Overall, the place is very clean too.

Honestly, the food here is not cheap; average spending is about $6 and above. There are some stalls that don't accept Fairprice app payments, meaning no additional 10% discount. Peak periods are very crowded, and there are not many seats. My bowl of noodles cost $7.90.

I wish we **had** a hawker street food court like this near where I am. According to my friend, they brought in famous franchises from all over Singapore to this food **court**, so you don't need to travel all over the island. Tried the **Tai Wah** pork noodle stall as it **had** the longest queue. The soup **was** very rich and **flavor-infused**, yet mild and not salty. Would recommend this if **you** need a hearty soup to warm your heart. For this stall, expect queues of more than 15 minutes during peak hours.
