Most of the staff are either pushy on sales or sound angsty, as if customers owe them a living.

Here's the lightly edited review: I initially disagreed with the review that claimed the staff at the Bukit Panjang outlet had a pushy attitude towards customers when selling expensive herbs—until I experienced it firsthand today. I picked up a herb priced at $6.90 and proceeded to the cashier, only to be completely ignored by the saleswoman, reportedly the only "Singaporean" working in the outlet. Instead of assisting me, she was busy coaxing an elderly lady into purchasing 石斛. I stood at the counter for five minutes, waiting patiently, before asking—twice—if someone could assist me with payment. Both times, I was ignored. Beyond her disregard for customers, this saleswoman has a habit of openly reprimanding her colleagues, something I have witnessed multiple times. Her behavior suggests she believes her status as a Singaporean grants her special privileges, allowing her to belittle others. This is unacceptable. I have tolerated her poor attitude on previous visits, but today’s incident compels me to speak up. No customer should be treated as if they are invisible, nor should staff be made to feel inferior in front of others. The company must take decisive action against such unprofessional behavior to uphold its reputation. Otherwise, I see no reason to continue supporting this business when other herbal stores offer better service and respect for their customers.

I realize the $1.50 barley was sold out as early as 4pm, whereas the $2.20 barley was not sold and many bottles were left. Is the store not brewing more due to the price difference, so, in a way, pushing customers to buy the $2.20 version? I've come on certain days around 2-3pm and the staff says it's not ready yet, yet today it sold out by 4pm? Very disappointing. It seems like they focus more on sales instead.
