I have been visiting this place from time to time for a few years as I stay nearby. I really love their TenDon and would highly recommend **it** to anyone visiting Ichiban Sushi! Their set meals, although pricey, are VERY filling, and I would highly recommend **that** two people share a set meal unless you are very hungry.
The only issues I have **with** this place (not all the time) **are** that it’s usually VERY crowded and understaffed, which **causes** a decline in service during peak hours. Also, ever since **COVID-19**, they have not resumed the sushi trains, which I dearly missed.
Overall, the food is great! But do not expect **excellent** service during peak hours…

This was my first visit to this outlet, though I've been a regular at other Ichiban locations for the past 10 years.
The food was very salty, and I saw a cockroach on the conveyor belt.
I immediately informed the sushi chef and the waitress when I saw the pest. However, they made no effort to find the pest. They looked around, didn't see the cockroach, and simply walked away, commenting that they had just recently done a cleanup.
I told them that I had indeed seen the pest and even taken a photo, but they didn't seem too bothered by the matter. I waited for 10 minutes, but nobody came back to attempt to find and get rid of the cockroach.

The manager is very rude. Firstly, he wears a mask while working in an F&B establishment with his mask half on his face, mouth exposed, and talking to his colleagues in the store. Do you not know that saliva can fly? Hasn't COVID already happened? Second, I saw a cockroach at a nearby table. Ew. Last time, it was always a full house and bustling. Now? It looks like a far cry from the past. Standards are really horrible. Prices are inflated like mad. Service is horrible.

Service staff are very friendly, there's a pleasant atmosphere during lunchtime, and service is fast. We often visit for an easy family meal. The outlet also had a seasonal offer for a free dessert upon leaving a review after the meal.

I have been patronising this restaurant ever since it opened, and have continued to do so during my stays here. I have also seen Staff Kim's growth and development from part-time staff to management trainee. Staff are overall friendly. The food tastes good, and quantities are sometimes a little inconsistent, but it is overall palatable. They have also just installed a portable AC in the store. They are responsive to customer feedback about the heat.

Food is nice. I feel that the food serving time should improve. We went after lunch (close to 3pm), but still had to wait very long for our food to be served.

A very lousy kids' meal. The fried chicken was so hard, and the corn had too much mayo on it. The udon was too little, even with the seaweed. The kids weren't even full, even without eating the hard chicken. Not recommended!

Tried this spot based on parents’ recommendation, and it didn’t disappoint!
The set meals and sashimi were incredibly fresh for their value. The only hiccup was the pork steak, which was unexpectedly tough and chewy for dad (and even me). Lucy was attentive and suggested cutting it smaller and cooking further, but it would not fix the texture. The real MVP was manager Peter, who quickly replaced it with thinly sliced pork that won my parents over. Excellent service and customer care—highly recommended!

We have always enjoyed the food at Ichiban. However, today, for the first time, we were told there was no salt and pepper when we requested it by one of the service staff. She didn't bother to try.
So we tried asking another service staff named 'Jia'. He was proactive and got us what we needed to enjoy our meal. That was okay, and we appreciated his service.
Next, when we asked for a top-up for our Yuzu Kaisen Nabe soup as it was getting drier, we were given some soy-sweet sauce-based soup that ruined our soup instead. It's rare to be disappointed, but we hope Ichiban can look into training their staff better.

I always enjoy coming to this outlet for dining. The staff is very friendly and approachable, and the manager (Amy) provides her best service even when she is super busy.
