I have been bringing my son to Dr Tan since he was a young toddler. Dr Tan is patient and takes his time to explain to us worried parents. Five stars

Honestly was very disappointed with the medical advice provided. Doctor couldn’t give a conclusive diagnosis when he saw my 6m baby ( she has rashes on her face, but was not dry nor peeling), and he subsequently gave her steroid cream. As a FTM I followed the instructions and applied the cream as stated. However, I wasn’t told that it should be paired with moisturiser ( which he didn’t dispense) which a number of my colleagues told me the PD should have informed earlier since it’s a steroid cream. My baby end up having full fledge red rashes on her skin, peeling and dry. And now it’s on her entire body, not just her face. I will seriously boycott this clinic.

Staff were nice generally and the doctor explained in detail. However the waiting time is very long. Reached the clinic about 1020 and only got to see the doctor around 1130 despite being told there were only 4 people before me. After seeing the doctor, they said the doctor wanted to do a review. I asked how long it would take and the staff told me it would be quite fast. Waited almost 30 minutes (with my son screaming and crying as he was hungry and tired) but it was still not our turn for the review. In addition, the staff were not much help. everyone could hear my son screaming non stop and I asked twice how much longer it would take and they just said doctor hasn’t called yet. Had to ask the staff to cancel because my son fell asleep.

It was our first visit and though the wait was very long, i could totally understand why! Dr Tan is very detailed in his explaination and he also took time to listen to my child's condition despite it has way passed his opening hours (there were still 2 more patients behind us). Right after a swab test, instead of hastily reviewing it with us, he patiently went through the available options with us again. The nurses there are equally patient despite having a long day and working overtime (it was already 5.30pm and the 2 patients are still around). I am definitely impressed with such amazing standard!

Dr Tan is so very kind and gentle with our baby and explained to us very patiently. I live in Bukit Batok but I don’t mind the travel if this is the kind of medical treatment that we can expect.

We had a very positive experience with Dr. Tan recently. Although my son had to be sent to the hospital, Dr. Tan was quick to assess the situation and promptly wrote a referral letter that helped speed up the process. What touched us most was that he personally called the next day to check on my son — something that truly shows how much he cares for his patients beyond the clinic visit. I am deeply disappointed with the experience at this PD clinic. My child was diagnosed with a pulled muscle after a very brief and superficial assessment. The doctor only examined his leg while he was seated, without requesting a more thorough physical check such as lying down for a proper hip or joint assessment.
Despite my child having a persistent high fever for four consecutive days, there was no suggestion for further investigations like a blood test or imaging to rule out other causes. This lack of comprehensive evaluation led to a wrong diagnosis and a critical delay in proper treatment.
As a result, my child’s condition worsened significantly, with the inflammation spreading and eventually developing into a serious bone infection. This could have been prevented with a more careful and responsible approach at the initial consultation.
I hope this feedback serves as a reminder of the importance of thorough clinical assessments and timely investigations, especially when it concerns young children who may not always express their pain accurately.
