Medium-priced, but the bread mouthfeel is tacky, gummy, and sticky due to insufficient baking temperature at the center of the buns.

Pleasantly surprised that when I bought their cake, I was given disposable cutlery. Extra mile for customer convenience. Well done. Oreo cake tastes good too.

I just bought a salty green bean bun and didn't know I overpaid by 20 cents. The tall Malay cashier lady counted my coins and returned me the extra coins. Wow, I'm impressed because usually, I'm the one who returns money when merchants give me extra change.

Here's the edited review with grammar fixes and minor improvements, keeping the original meaning and sentiment intact: I had a bad social behavior experience at this branch. I had my bread ready to pay at the cashier. The Malay cashier said there was someone in front of me, but I saw nobody. I turned and saw another Malay lady customer still doing her shopping for bread at the shelves. Upon hearing us, she came over and threw more bread on the counter and walked away to do more shopping for bread. I told the cashier that she ought to go ahead with my payment, but the Malay cashier refused, as she insisted on serving the Malay customer who obviously wasn't ready to make payment yet. The frustrating part was that after I asked the cashier why everyone should wait for the customer who was obviously still doing her shopping, the Malay cashier then said to let me pay first, a statement shamefully supported by the Malay customer who was not yet ready to make payment. I do not jump queues. In the long run, imagine if this bad social behavior is tolerated: anyone could throw an item at the cashier and claim their spot as the first customer. What about others who are ready to make payment? Swee Heng management should educate and counsel their staff. Date: November 15, 2022, Time: 11 AM. Please check the CCTV footage to identify the unreasonable individuals.

Usually get my sugar rush from the kaya cake. Good selection of bread and baked goods. However, the quality of the bread dough and its bake is inconsistent. There have been instances where the inside of the bread was still raw and lumpy. Generally good service from the staff there.

Went there last Thursday evening. We bought a lot of bread and cake for colleagues who are in the camp. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They pushed forward the promotion time slightly earlier so that we could enjoy good discounts. They were very flexible and kind. I saw one staff member's tag read “Ah Liang.” She is very approachable and friendly. Really good service. First time I learned this was halal certified. My Muslim colleagues enjoyed the bread and cake thoroughly.

We were shopping at Hillion Mall and Bukit Panjang Plaza for a birthday cake and decided to try Swee Heng Bakery's Blackforest Mousse instead of other brands that we had previously purchased. The cake was attractively displayed and enticed us to purchase it. Surprisingly, the taste was good, and it was smooth and creamy. The price was reasonable, and the staff was polite and helpful. It was a good purchase!

My dad gave the cashier $10, but only received $3 change. When confronted, she mentioned my dad gave her $5. My dad did not pursue further. The cashier must have been confused.

Got their cranberry Hokkaido milk bun at $1.90. Fragrant and buttery exterior crust with a generous number of cranberries. It has milky, creamy bits inside, making this bun slightly heavier and filling.

Admittedly, I am a big fan of heartland bakeries, and Swee Heng is a particular favorite. I'm almost impressed by how Swee Heng stays updated on the latest bake trends and, at the same time, stays true to its heartland bakery roots and maintains its reasonable pricing. Today, I took away a Chicken Ham Cheese Bun and a trendy Speculaas Tiramisu Cake. The former was nostalgically good. The latter was very very good and innovative. I also found the service staff at this Swee Heng outlet to be very friendly.
